NHRA Division One and Maple Grove Raceway
will be part of a new Sports
Challenge exhibit at the Franklin Institute Science Museum in Philadelphia, PA. The
Sports Challenge has 12 super-interactive devices and four virtual reality experiences.
The Sports Challenge has something for everyone. Ski down a virtual slope with wind
blowing your hair. Balance on a surfboard that simulates the pitching of a wave or hit the
gas of a Top Fuel Dragster to test your reaction time. Climb a
rock wall and feel the force of friction. Test yourself at various athletic activities,
some of which you may have never tried before. You can compare your shoe to Shaquille
O'Neal's size 22 or Tara Lipinski's tiny skating costume.
The exhibit goes on display to the public starting
November 17 with the grand opening ceremonies set for Saturday, November 18th at 11:00
a.m. As part of the grand opening ceremonies there will be several racecars on display at
the entrance to the Institute. click
