To All My Friends in NED

To all those who were at the NED banquet, I would like to say thank you for buying the 50/50 tickets.  The $405.00 are the first dollars to go to DRAW in 2002.  See, I always say we are NUMBER ONE!!!!.  Thanks to Linda Spanakos for working so hard and to all those who helped.  Sorry I couldn't be there but someone has to be having fun in the sun this winter.  Hope to see some of you at the Divisional at Orlando right before the Gators.  Don and I will be there at both races.  You'll probably be ready for some nice weather by March.  Can't wait to say hello to everyone.  God Bless.
Pat

2001 Wrap Up
To all the racers and their crews and families who attended the races in NED this year, I want to say a million thanks for all your help and support.  To Kim and Carol Eckel, Linda Spanokas, Brenda Fizz, Clair Laterza (Racers for Christ), Sarah De Marzo and Jonni Lawson for helping at the booth and with the 50/50.  Especially I want to thank my kids, Randy and Kelly Shaeffer.  They give up so many weekends and help at home getting everything ready.  With out these volunteers I could never make it at the races.  And without everyone who is so generous, DRAW could not help the racers who need all of our support.
The Keystones were terrific.  Don, the better half??, was actually able to get there.  The pet picture contest netted us $307.70.  A lot of people forgot to bring their pictures.  We are going to have it every year at the Keystones so make a note and send me those pictures early!!!!! Thanks for your support.  We raised $3,181.20.  Thanks to Jim "Bull" Henderson for his generous donation in memory of 6 different friends who have passed away in the last few years.  This year we had a new volunteer for the booth.  Her name is Jonni Lawson.  Her father races a funny car in top fuel.  She was a great help and sharp as could be.  I needed the help.  I hope to see her next year at the national events when her dad is racing.  Thanks to her mom, Lisa, for allowing her to volunteer.
The Dutch Classic was something else.  I apologize for the problems with getting the qualifying sheets.  I had to do a lot of running just to get them copied because of a few problems.  The racing was good.  We raised $842.00.
I will be leaving for Florida (for the winter) on the 24th of October.  If any of you get down to Orlando Speed World for the Divisional before the Gators, look around, I'll be there somewhere.  We'll probably be at Moroso for the big event a lot of you go to.  And we'll see you at the Gators for sure.  My kids will be picking up my messages everyday but you can reach me in Florida if there are any emergencies or you just need to chat.  The E-mail is [email protected] or 321-242-1744.  See you in the spring and thanks again for your support of Fast Help for Fast Friends.
