Competition Eliminator Taking the Reins of Presence in the NHRA
5/5/2017

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 5, 2017) – Competition Eliminator has decided to address the low car count in the class and expand their presence from on-track action to the world of social media in 2017.

Representatives from the Sportsman Racing Advisory Council like Will Hatcher, Frank Aragona, Lee Sharp, Craig Bougeious, Greg Kamplain, Brian Hyerstay, and Alan Ellis are leading the campaign to get the class more exposure in hopes of generating more interest in the class and enticing more participation on a divisional and national level.

"The biggest obstacle we face is that some people believe Competition Eliminator is going away," Will Hatcher said. "That's simply not the case. We had a conference call with Graham Light and Rob Park back in January, and the first thing out of Graham's mouth is Comp Eliminator isn’t going away until there are not enough cars to support the fields, or support the class.”

"NHRA came to us to help them grow the class because they don't want the class to go away," Hatcher said. "They don't want to see it go away, and that was the purpose of our meeting. Our committee has been working hard to reach all of the Comp Eliminator racers so we can build this class back up. No matter what we do, there are those who try to spin it bad. We are going to grow this class. We have gotten calls from many racers saying they are coming out.”

SRAC reps have partnered up with public relations and social media company SR Driven Media to broaden their reach in the sport.

“I’m very excited to be helping out the Competition Eliminator class,” SR Driven Media owner Sadie Floyd said. “As a sportsman racer myself, I want to help them get as much positive exposure as they can. Comp is such an intriguing class and I’m ready to show the general public that.”

SR Driven Media will provide round-by-round results and competitor photos at all national events the class competes at in 2017. Additionally, there will be a feature on a racer of SRAC’s choosing before each event to highlight a racer in the area.
